Friday I'm in Love: 9/23/16
Happy Friday! Right we are on our way to Martha's Vineyard for a family wedding. Mike's brother is getting married to a wonderful woman tomorrow and I am so excited for them. The beautiful bride-to-be is from the island, and I know that it will be a day filled with love, laughter and loads of fun!
Before the festivities begin this weekend I wanted to share some things I am loving this week:
Honest Deodorant: We were at Whole Foods last weekend in Portland, Maine and I had run out of my go-to natural deodorant. I figured I would try something new, and I picked up this spray style deodorant in lavender vanilla scent. The deodorant is free of aluminum and harsh chemicals that can be harmful to your skin. While it is not quite as pure and clean as my usual natural deodorant, so far I am really happy with the results! It is easy to apply, leaves no sticky mess, and the lavender essential oil adds a wonderful and soothing smell. The spray held up during my hot yoga class this week, and I had only applied it once. The true test will be how it holds up dancing the night away at the wedding reception this weekend.
Home Yoga Practice: The past two weeks have been difficult with balancing what has been going on in my personal life and the desire for activity and movement. I have had to scale back a little, listen to my body and give her the care she needs. This has meant changing up my yoga routine to favor some home practice. Often I will practice a flow on my own, or if I am feeling like I want to be lead through a practice, will watch a youtube video (Boho Beautiful, The Journey Junkie, Yoga by Candace ). Practicing at home gives me the space to step on my mat no matter the time of day or what else has been going on.
My New Planner: Yes I still use one. I know so many things are online these days, and you can plug in all of your reminders and appointments into your phone, but there is something to be said about having a good planner in your hands. I found this one at a local store in Portsmouth and loved the size, foiled edges, and sleek design. To hold myself accountable, and also to put myself out there to the universe I will be sharing with you some of my plans for this Fall on the blog soon!
Green Tea: I am usually up and at em' in the morning and rarely take the time to sit and enjoy a mug of tea. When I was home in NY and even the past few days it has been nice to take a few minutes, make a cup of tea or warm lemon water and just sit. Right now I am sipping on this one by Tazo.
